The three mobile carriers, SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus, will participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world's largest mobile and telecommunications exhibition, held in Barcelona, Spain from March 3 (local time) to 6. Until last year, only SK Telecom and KT had separate booths, but this year, LG Uplus has joined, making the MWC competition among the three mobile carriers even fiercer.

According to the telecommunications industry on the 23rd, the three mobile carriers will participate in MWC 2025, held at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain, to showcase various artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In addition, about 160 domestic companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, will participate. Technologies and services from more than 2,700 companies in more than 200 countries around the world will be exhibited.

SK Telecom will open an AI-themed exhibition hall in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via this year. Through this, it will present its vision as a Global AI Company based on the AI Infrastructure Super Highway strategy. It will also introduce SK Telecom's AI technology and services to a global audience. It also plans to showcase the technologies and services of partner companies collaborating with SK Telecom.
Last year, SK Telecom signed a main contract with major global telecommunications companies to establish a joint corporation called the 'Global Telco AI Alliance (GTAA).' At this year's MWC, it plans to hold a section presentation with GTAA member companies on the topic of 'Unleashing Potential through AI-Enhanced Services and Infrastructure.' KT's booth theme is 'Korean Streets'... Introducing AI technology that blends in with everyday life
KT will introduce AI technology that blends in with everyday life after setting up its booth with the theme of Korean Streets (K-STREET). The exhibition hall is located in the GSMA Theme Hall, Connected Industry, in Hall 4 of the exhibition hall. It will be built on a scale of 383㎡, 1.7 times larger than last year. We will introduce Korea's cutting-edge technology and culture to global visitors through seven themed spaces that combine K-culture and AI.
K-Office, modeled after KT's Gwanghwamun Building WEST, will unveil AI agent solutions that utilize the K-AI model to help improve work efficiency. You can experience various functions such as wireless market competition analysis, efficient GPU allocation process, carbon emission status check, and customer service agent knowledge recommendations.
At K-Stadium, KT DS, a group company, will unveil a stadium announcer that applies AI real-time translation technology. It will also showcase technology that implements safe streets. It will unveil various security technologies that apply ELSA, a 5G precision positioning technology, smishing and spam blocking technology, and AI-based image analysis solutions. LGU+ to hold its first solo exhibition at MWC⋯Introducing differentiated AI technologies
LG U+ has decided to operate a large, 792㎡ standalone exhibition hall in the center of Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via. This is the first time that LG U+ is presenting a standalone exhibition hall at MWC. It plans to introduce differentiated AI technologies centered on security, one of the most important values for customers' use of AI.
Specifically, it will present technologies and services such as △ixi-GEN △PQC (quantum-resistant cryptography) △Anti-DeepVoice △ixi-O △ixi-Vision △AIDC. It will also present future lifestyles changed by AI technology by placing a sculpture called ixi Future Vill in the center of the exhibition hall.
In addition, various services that apply LG Uplus' AI, such as automatic scheduling and search reservation purchase using Ixio, content recommendation and real-time subtitle location change using media agent, pain point resolution cases of partners using enterprise AI solutions, and humanoid robots and digital humans equipped with Ixio, will be introduced.
