Funcom, 'Dune: Awakening' to be released on Steam on May 2nd

Norwegian developer Funcom announced on the 21st that the open-world multiplayer survival game 'Dune: Awakening' will be officially released on Steam on May 20th.



Dune: Awakening is a game developed with inspiration from Frank Herbert's legendary sci-fi novel and Legendary Entertainment's award-winning film. Set on the planet 'Arrakis', the veteran development team will provide immersion to Dune fans and survival game enthusiasts.

Starting on the 21st, users can download 'Character Creation & Benchmark Mode' from Steam and experience it in advance, and the created character can be used in the official release version. If you download the character creation and benchmark mode, you will be provided with the 'Frameblade Knife' skin that can be used in the game after the official release.



The base game price of Dune: Awakening is set at $49.99, and pre-orders will begin soon. Those who pre-register will receive a special decorative item, the 'Terrarium of Muad'Dib'.
