DVN, headquartered in France, is an authoritative professional media and academic organization in the vehicle electrical components industry. The 'Lighting Workshop' held by DVN every year in various parts of the world is evaluated as a venue for exchange where global vehicle OEMs and leading electrical components companies gather to discuss key issues surrounding the vehicle lighting industry and share technology trends.
The first 'DVN Lighting Workshop' of the year will be held at the 'Motoworld' exhibition hall in Munich, Germany from the 19th to the 20th. Various seminar sessions are prepared for two days under the theme of 'Sustainability, Acceleration of Technological Development, Software, and New Challenges in the Automotive Lighting Industry'.
LG Innotek will participate in the 'Automobile Light Source Innovation Technology' seminar session on the 19th and introduce the company's innovative technology applied to the vehicle flexible three-dimensional lighting module 'Nexlide'.
During the workshop, an exhibition will also be held where participants can check out the next-generation vehicle lighting products. LG Innotek will also set up a separate exhibition booth and plan to introduce various 'Nexlide' lineups that can be applied to the front and rear of vehicles.
Representative products include the 'Nexlide A', a vehicle rear lamp module that minimizes module thickness while emitting bright and even light using a unique micro-optical pattern technology, and the 'Nexlide A+', a vehicle front lighting module that applies a surface light source to the vehicle front lighting module for the first time in the industry. LG Innotek won the Innovation Award at the previous CES2025 for 'Nexlide A+'.
In addition, the 'Nexlide C+', which uses 3D lighting technology to implement three-dimensional images with a three-dimensional feel, and the 'Nexlide M', which is seeing an increase in orders as a product that can be installed on the front and rear of vehicles, are also highlights of the exhibition.
New 'Nexlide' products will also be unveiled. LG Innotek will newly introduce the 'Nexlide Edge', which has become even slimmer by replacing the LED package with LED chips, and the 'Nexlide Vision', which combines pixel lighting technology that implements various text and animation effects with smart film technology. 'Nexlide
Vision' will be exhibited in the form of a demo that visitors can experience directly. The biggest feature is that it can implement not only pixels but also surfaces and lines. If you write a desired message on the pad installed next to the product, the message will appear on the vehicle's lights.
An LG Innotek official explained, "LG Innotek's technology is a core technology of the future mobility era that significantly enhances the V2X (vehicle-to-everything) communication function through vehicle lamps." For example, turning on the hazard lights when a vehicle suddenly stops is the best we can do now, but if 'Nexlide Vision' is commercialized, the driver's situation can be notified to the outside world."
After the 'DVN Lighting Workshop,' LG Innotek plans to expand its share of the European vehicle lighting market by holding a road show targeting major European OEM customers and launching a full-scale drive.
Yoo Byung-guk, head of the Electronic Components Business Division, said, "LG Innotek will continue to introduce vehicle lighting module products that provide differentiated customer value and will grow into a technology partner that customers trust in the European and Japanese vehicle lighting markets, beyond North America."
