A soundbar is a type of speaker that outputs audio from a large speaker case. It can be installed under a computer monitor or TV screen.

According to market research firm FutureSource, Samsung Electronics maintained the top spot it has held since 2014, recording a 20.1% share of the global soundbar market in terms of value and 18.4% in terms of quantity last year.

Various soundbar products, including the top-of-the-line 'HW-Q990D' released last year, received good responses from users for their △immersive sound, △'Q Symphony' function that links with Samsung TVs, and △convenient connectivity.

They also received favorable reviews from global media outlets. American media outlet Newsweek selected the top-of-the-line HW-Q99D as its 'Editor's Choice', saying that it "provides the best surround sound among the soundbars available this year."

In addition, American IT media outlet Techlicious selected the lifestyle soundbar 'HW-S800D' as its 'Editor's Choice', saying that it is "the perfect choice for consumers who value both style and design."

Samsung Electronics is strengthening its conquest of the global soundbar market this year by introducing new products with enhanced AI-based sound quality, surround effects, and connectivity for various scenarios.

"This is the result of our efforts to deliver an immersive surround experience to consumers," said Lee Heon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division. "Based on this 11th consecutive year of first place, we will continue to introduce products with better sound quality and usability in the future."
