The MX division is in charge of Samsung Electronics' smartphones, laptops, and wireless earphones. The MX division is also responsible for Galaxy-exclusive applications (apps) and the One UI operating system (OS).
Cursor AI is a service developed by Anysphere, which shares the AI coding market with Windsurf. It was developed by four geniuses from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): Michael Truell, Suale Asif, Avid Runmark, and Aman Sanger.

It can be used for code planning, development, and review, so it is considered a service that not only startups but also large corporations are considering introducing recently. For corporate customers concerned about internal information leaks, it is reported that a dedicated enterprise model for Cursor AI will be provided.
Some development teams within Samsung Electronics have already been experimenting with the use of Cursor AI for work, and it is said that the response was enthusiastic when a company-wide lecture was held.
Samsung Electronics' Device Experience (DX) division established an AI Productivity Innovation Group in the Management Innovation Center last month and has been reviewing various ways to increase work efficiency through AI. It is also conducting AI utilization training for DX division employees at each stage.

An AI industry insider said, "In addition to the MX division, there are many other divisions within Samsung Electronics that are making related requests."
However, a Samsung Electronics official was cautious, saying, "It is difficult to confirm whether AI services are being used for work."
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is utilizing various AI models and tools in each division and business unit. The Device Solutions (DS) division, which oversees the semiconductor, sensor, and other component businesses, is known to be utilizing various AI solutions, including the US AI data analysis company Palantir.
