Qualcomm Unveils 'Snapdragon 7 4th Generation'... AI Performance Up 65% Compared to Previous Works
Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 7 4th generation mobile platform, the latest product in the Snapdragon 7 series, on the 15th (local time).

The Snapdragon 7 4th generation is designed to enhance the multimedia experiences that users prefer and to implement powerful performance. It explains that it maximizes user immersion by capturing moments using advanced image processing technology or enhancing mobile experiences through Snapdragon Elite gaming features. It
supports innovative AI functions including generative AI assistants and large language models (LLMs) that run on-device. It provides stable diffusion-based image generation for the first time in the series.
Performance has been improved by 27% in CPU, 30% in GPU graphics rendering, and 65% in AI compared to the previous model.
Chris Patrick, senior vice president and general manager of the mobile handset division at Qualcomm, said, "The Snapdragon 7 4th generation mobile platform implements AI-powered user experiences at the hardware level, allowing users to capture, create, and share content more easily."
He added, "In addition to Snapdragon Sound and premium audio technology, this is the first product outside of the 8 Series to offer Qualcomm Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN) technology, bringing advanced multimedia experiences to more users."
